Panaji: Goa Police on Tuesday sealed an illegally operating Spa at Anjuna after the District Magistrate ordered for the action against it.
State Police department has began crackdown on illegal Spas and massage parlours in Goa following directions of chief minister Pramod Sawant.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (Mapusa) Jivba Dalvi said that Anjuna police had submitted a report to the District Magistrate, North Goa after raiding the illegally operating Spa in their jurisdiction.
District Magistrate Mamu Hage ordered the sealing of the premises housing the Spa at Anjuna.
Dalvi said that during the raid on the Spa, the police found four massage beds, various oils and other items in the premises.
It was run by a man originally from Tamil Nadu without any proper licencing, he said.
