Panaji: The fears are raised that more than 500 COVID-19 positive patients who are currently in different facilities would be discharged without testing them. source stated that the state government is taking the decision in the guise of Supreme Court verdict.
Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte in a tweet has raised the concern over such mass discharge of the patients planned later this evening. He has feared that there will be rapid spread of the virus.
Khaunte tweeted “It has come to my notice through reliable sources that 500 coronavirus patients are being discharged today from govt COVID hospital, without a confirmatory test. This clearly being staged to bring down reporting of rising coronavirus cases in #Goa risking lives of Goenkars who are holding themselves in their houses out of fear of catching the infection. Deaths due to coronavirus are increasing day by day in Goa and very soon, Goa’s situation will go into fully irreversible mode.”
