Panaji: Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant said that the state was in safe zone for COVID infection until it was revealed on Thursday 46 members of Tablighi-e-Jamaat who had travelled to Delhi were living in Goa.
Sawant said that state machinery has identified 46 people from Tableeghi-e-Jamaat who had travelled to Delhi.
“I had said that Goa is in safe zone for coronavirus infection. But now the status dependents on the result of the samples drawn from all these 46 people,” he said.
The chief minister said that all these 46 were not Goans but belongs to different states.
He said that the positive side is that those people had travelled to Delhi before March 15.
Sawant said that the sample results of all these people is awaited.
