Panaji: Goa on Monday reported 30 new cases of COVID-19 infection while two were cured totaling the number of positive cases to 330.
State health authorities said that 30 suspected cases have tested positive for COVID-19 infection of which 28 were linked to Mangor Hill in Vasco town.
Mangor Hill has been declared as a containment zone by the state government after spate of cases were reported from that locality.
Of the remaining two, one has travelled by train from Gujarat and another by road from Maharashtra, the health official said adding that their condition is stable.
During the day, two patients who were admitted in ESI hospital in Margao, which is a facility designated for COVID-19 positive patients, had declared to be recovered.
Health authorities said that out of 3017 samples which were tested on Monday, 2026 were negative.
State Health Secretary Neela Mohanan said that 13 patients have been shifted from ESI hospital to Primary Health Centre at Shiroda in North Goa, which has been designated at covid care centre, since Sunday.
She said that the doctors at covid care centre has been given orientation how to deal with such kind of cases.
