Panaji: As against the set target of 25,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines, Goa could achieve a figure of 17,000-odd vaccinations on the Birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
As per the statistics provided by State Health Department, total 17,327 vaccinations were done on Friday, which included 2731 people who received first dose while 13,000-odd got the second dose till 7 pm.
State chief minister Pramod Sawant had told reporters earlier during the day that the state has set a target of vaccinating 25,000 people on the Birthday of PM Narendra Modi.
With the vaccination on Friday, 6,44,553 people have received only first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, while 5,29,529 have been fully vaccinated with both the doses.
