Ponda: Ponda Constituency is marching forward with Goa Forward Party leaders giving special attention to the area under the leadership of Rajesh Verenkar and party’s Vice President Durgadas Kamat.
In an attempt to bring governance close to the people. Goa Forward leader and Water Resource Minister Vinod Palyekar visited Ponda Constituency today along with Goa Forward Ponda leader Rajesh Verenkar , Goa Forward Vice President Akbar Mulla and Durgadas Kamat and others.
The officials of Water Resources Department were also present during the visit.
The State government which has been formed keeping in mind the welfare of the people has taken up approximately Rs 16 crore worth works since March 2017 in this constituency of which Rs 5 crore work have been already completed.
The works worth Rs 9 crore are awaiting financial approval and Rs 2 Crore new work has been estimated, Palekar said.
Goa Forward leader Rajesh Verenkar thanked Ponda Municipal Council Chairperson Pradeep Naik and his team for hosting Minister Vinod Palyekar at the Ponda Municipal Council.
The minister has asked the Ponda Municipal Council to submit the list of works which would be taken on priority to take #PondaForward.
BJP Senior leader Sandip Khandeparkar , Shantaram Kolvekar and Vishwanath Dalvi along with Curti Khandepar Sarpanch and Panch members were also present during the tour of Ponda Constituency.
