Panaji: Total 14 people lost their lives due to road accidents in the month of May, reveals the data released by Directorate of Transport.
The month reported 320 number of road accidents, of which 13 were fatal accidents. 14 people including nine riders, one pillion rider, two passengers and two more pedestrians, lost their lives. This include nine deaths in South Goa and five in North.
The month recorded 16 Grievous Accidents ( North Goa – 6 and South Goa – 10), 86 Minor Accidents (North Goa – 25 and South Goa – 61), Non – Injury Accidents (North Goa – 118 and South Goa – 87).
Almost 37 people were Grievously Injured (North – 12 and South – 25) while 139 persons suffered Minor Injuries (North – 38, South – 101).
