The third edition of Netravali Premier League 2023 concluded on 12th March 2023 before a massive crowd. “We for Sanguem Forum” organised this Netravali Premier League 2023 III – a highly exciting tournament – with a view to encouraging the young, up and coming and budding cricketers of Sanguem.

As we are all aware by now, Netravali Premier League is a league concept tournament that consists of as many as eight franchises owned by eight owners. These franchises select cricket players – through auction – from Netravali Village Panchayat.
The teams that participated were Bhuto Warriors, Sky Force, RCB Strikers Verlem, RRR Strikers, Boom Boom Bashers, AB ShiSagar S N II, Silent Killer & Blazing Gaurs Tudav.
The winner of Netravali Premier League 2023 III was Blazing Gaurs Tudav,awarded with Cash ₹ 80,000/- along with a tropy and; the runner up team was Silent Killer, awarded with Cash prize of ₹50,000/- along with a trophy.
The best batsman was Viraj Gaonkar from Blazing Gaurs Tudav, awarded with a Full HD LED TV 26″ along with a trophy.
The best bowler was Premanand Gaonkar from Blazing Gaurs Tudav, awarded with a Full HD LED TV 26″ along with a trophy.
The Man of the Series was Suhas Morajkar from Silent killer , was awarded with Refrigerator along with a Trophy.
Rakhi Prabhudessai Naik – Goa Trinamool Congress General Secretary and Panch Member – led the inauguration ceremony of the Netravali Premier League 2023 III in the august presence of Aietin Mascarenhas – Deputy Sarpanch VP Netravali, and Shri Kushta Gaonkar – Purohit of the Betal Mandir.
During the prize distribution ceremony Saloni Morajkar – Mahila Member of Goa Trinamool Congress – also made an appearance.
In addition, this third edition of Netravali Premier League 2023 drew huge crowds as the main attraction was former Team India Cricket Player Shri Kirti Azad who was one of the members of the 1983 World Cup Winning Team. And, at present he is Goa Trinamool Congress State In-Charge. Kirti Azad was genuinely surprised at seeing the talent on display from interiors of Goa like Netravali and Sanguem.
Buoyed by the enthusiastic welcome that he received Kirti Azad showered lavish praises on Rakhi Prabhudessai Naik for having taken this important initiative of harnessing talent of the young cricketers of Netravali and Sanguem.
Before the prize distribution ceremony, Kirti Azad – in his widely applauded speech – congratulated not only the winning team but also every cricketer who participated and played for his team to win.
Kirti Azad delivered a message of peace, unity, harmony and teamwork to the youngsters. Kirti Azad said that sporting events like Netravali Premier League know no boundaries. Sportspersons see themselves as human beings. In a team all are equal and they play for the victory of their team.
He drove home the importance of teamwork and unity not only in the sports but also in the society while performing day to day tasks. He advised the youngsters – the future of Goa – to stay united and work as a team to protect Goa’s syncretic culture and unique identity.
Netravali Premier League 2023 III had exciting prices not only for cricketers but also for the spectators who caught the ball behind the boundary ropes. Such great catchers of the ball behind the boundary lines were showered with a gift of saree. This out-of-the-box award category kept the fans and spectators alike on their toes and made the outings more engaging and interesting.
Many youths were full of praise for Rakhi Prabhudessai Naik – the charismatic and young Goa Trinamool Congress General Secretary and Panch Member – who toiled hard day and night in the scorching heat to make the Netravali Premier League 2023 III a resounding success.
People of Sanguem are eagerly waiting for the next edition of the NPL with bated breath.
