Even frying Pakodas will be difficult now: LoP Alemao on LPG cylinder price hike
Panaji: Goa’s Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao slamming BJP-led government for hike in the LPG cylinders said that “even frying pakodas will be difficult for educated unemployed youth now.”
In an indirect reference to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s speech in the Parliament in the year 2018 wherein he had said “better to sell pakodas then be jobless,” Alemao listed the hike in the LPG cylinders to add “now, even frying Pakodas will be difficult for educated unemployed youths.”
Alemao on Wednesday termed rise in the LPG cylinders as a blow by BJP-led government on common man. He said that this is another blow by BJP-led government on common man.
The LoP pointed out that the domestic LPG Cylinders to cost Rs1117 with today’s price hike of Rs 50 per cylinder.
“The commercial LPG Cylinders to cost Rs 2118 with hike of Rs 350 per Cylinder. Now, even frying Pakodas will be difficult for educated unemployed youths,” he taunted.
Alemao said that BJP has been “continuously putting financial burden on the people.” “This hike will result in complete collapse of household budgets. This is a Financial Emergency imposed by the insensitive BJP Government on the middle class and poor,” he added.
The LoP said that the increase in Commercial LPG Cylinders will result in escalation of food items in Restaurants and Food Outlets.
Alemao said that the Lok Sabha Elections are just a year away. “Time has come for the people to realize the Pro-Capitalist and Anti-Poor Agenda of the BJP Government,” he added.
