Panaji: Alleging government failure to act against the increasing narcotic trade and its related activities, the Goa Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (GPYCC) has decided to launch a State-wide anti-drugs signature campaign to pressurize authorities for swift action.

GPYCC president Varad Mardolkar alleged that drugs and prostitution activities are rampant along the coastal belts of Calangute, but there are no efforts to curb the menace.

Mardolkar said that youth congress members will soon launch a State-wide anti-drug signature campaign to escalate pressure on government to curb drug trade.

“Police are doing nothing to put an end to the narcotic business which is rampant. The signature campaign is to put pressure on government to act,” he stated.
