The all new series Mirzapur is released by Amazon Prime Video with 9 episodes. It is written by Puneet Krishna, Vineet Krishna & Karan Anshuman. Directed by Karan Anshuman, Gurmeet Singh & Mihir Desai.

This is the story of Akhandanand Tripathi who is don of Mirzapur played by Pankaj Tripathi & two brothers Guddu & Bablu Pandit who are working for him played by Ali Fazal & Vikrant Massey respectively. Akhandanand is also known as khaleen bhaiyya & doing illegal activities like smuggling of guns & cocaine. His son Munna – Divyendu Sharma wants to host the business but his father thinks he is not ready enough to handle all the deals hence, all incidents take place which is all about Mirzapur.

Mirzapur is directed very well but some how we found that they tried to copy sacred games which becomes weak point of it. If you are good watcher or observer, you will come to know that it is quite similar to movie ‘Vastav’ with some changes. Some scenes in series are out of the context and unnecessary, like on entry of Golu played by Shweta Tripathi, she reads sex stories in college library & she is topper of college. Nobody knows that she read such stories but after that scene they never shown about reading such stories or nothing else. Which was useless scene, just to attract viewers by sexual content. Character of Rasika Dugal who is wife of Akhandanand is also taken for bold scene. Rasika Dugal is actually good actor but without using her acting talent they used her only for bold scenes.

Talking about roles of Ali Fazal & Vikrant Massey, both never played role of gangsters. They were always been worked as romantic or supporting role. But this time they both won the hearts of viewers and obviously increased number of fans. Shreya Pilgaonkar also played good role as Sweety. Pankaj Tripathi as always awesome at his place & hit the screen.

There is nothing different story in Mirzapur, nothing surprising. If you are good watcher and watched sacred games & Vastav, you will not like it much or you will be ‘OK’ with it. But if you like bold scenes, violence and like to abuse then this is the right thing for you.

In our opinion Mirzapur deserves 2.5 stars .
