The President was at the Church for around 20 minutes before heading to Mangueshi Temple.

Rector of Basilica Fr Patricio Fernandes took around the President and showed Relics of St Francis Xavier besides other relics.

During his tour in the Church, the President of India told the Rector that he has come to Old Goa twice earlier.  “I told him about significance of the church. The church is called church of Jesus, later on called as Bom Jesus,” he said.
