Vasco: Police have booked an offence against a senior Indian Navy officer attached to INS Hansa Base in Goa for allegedly molesting his domestic help.
The complaint was filed against Commodore Mankandan Nambiar, 46, by his maid of sexual harassment on Wednesday at Vasco Police Station on Wednesday.
Vasco Police Inspector Nolasco Raposo confirmed the filing of complaint which has accused the officer of molesting her at his private residence in Vasco town, 40 kms away from here.
The accused has moved for anticipatory bail, he said.
The officer has been booked under Sections 354 (Assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354A (Sexual harassment), and 354B (Assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe) of the Indian Penal Code.
