Panaji: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO)  has warned to initiate strict disciplinary action against the government servants if found campaigning for any particular party or candidates.
It has asked servants to refrain themselves from getting involved in any such activities.
The directions were issued after CEO came across instances of government employees getting engaged in disseminating contents having issues related to political parties  and also  posting online election propaganda through social media.
CEO Kunal said that it has also come to the notice that some employees are directly involved in other modes of campaigning, he said.
“During the election they should not indulge in any form of political activity. It is completely against the model code of conduct and disciplinary action would be taken if such activities come to our notice,” he warned.
