Panaji: Congress party has demanded BJP’s public apology for fooling mining dependents with false promises and assurances on resumption of iron ore activities for past one year.
The demand comes hour after CM Manohar Parrikar told State cabinet that the solution for current crisis on the mining industry will have to be worked out within the State ambit.
Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Kavlekar questioned as why BJP gave vague promises, assurances and deadlines to mining dependents to restart mining.
“Every day new deadlines were given by CM, Ministers, MLAs and MPs. Why was that? Why did they fooled mining dependents,” he said.
“CM, BJP MLAs, Ministers and MPs need to apologize to the mining dependents for all false promises,” he demanded.
