Dona Paula: BJP National President Amit Shah is scheduled to meet alliance partners in Goa government this evening to work out a solution to crack the current political stalemate.

BJP has not been able to convince its alliance partners   – Goa Forward Party, MGP and Independents – over the next chief minister of Goa in absence of Manohar Parrikar.

Parrikar, 63, passed away on Sunday after his year long fight with pancreatic ailment.

“Shah will be meeting alliance partners including GFP, MGP and Independents and convince them to come to consensus candidate for chief ministerial post,” a senior BJP functionary said.

The meeting is scheduled later during the day at a starred hotel at Dona Paula.

Shah is in Goa to pay last tributes to Parrikar. The party president also participated in the final rites performed at Miramar beach on Monday evening.
